Sauerkraut and weight loss Sauerkraut and weight loss

What we eat either creates good bacteria in our gut or bad bacteria. And having lots of good probiotic bacteria in our gut creates a powerful immune system. It also influences our brain, mood, energy level, and even inflammation in our body, and even helps us lose weight. And it also prevents diabetes, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, autoimmune disease, osteoporosis and prevents ulcers... and on and on.

Caring for our GI tract is important for good health in every part of our body.

Here are 6 Great Ways to Feed Your Good Bacteria and Thrive

1 - Eat Sauerkraut Daily - Sauerkraut contains over 200 different types of live good bacteria (Probiotics) which build up your good gut bacteria. Eating 2 or 3 tablespoons full daily will keep your probiotic load going well. Eat live Sauerkraut that is found in the refrigerator section of your health food store. I eat Sauerkraut all the time.

2 - Eat Kimchi - Kimchi is a spicy version of sauerkraut from Asia. And Kimchi contains over 400 different types of good probiotic bacteria for your gut. Eating at least 2 tablespoons of Kimchi 3 or 4 times a week will keep your probiotic bacteria going strong. I love this stuff!

3 - Take Probiotic Supplements - Take Probiotic capsules, make sure your probiotic contains at least 8 different types of good bacteria. When first starting take 4 - capsules 4 times a day for 30 days and then taper back to 4 - capsules daily.

4 - Eat Cooked Green Bananas and Plantains - Cooked Green Bananas and Plantains contain lots of resistant starch that feed your good probiotic bacteria in your gut. Eat 3 or 4 cooked green bananas weekly. They taste like cooked potatoes and they are a staple in lots of places around the world. One of My Favorite Foods!

5 - Eat Yuca, or Cassava, or Tapioca Root - Yuca or sometimes called Cassava or Tapioca Root is a root that also contains lots of resistant starch. Peel and cook the Yuca, Cassava, or Tapioca Root and cook the root until soft. Make sure to eat 1 cup of Yuca or Cassava 3 or 4 times weekly. In fact, brand new studies show people in Africa and other countries who eat Yuca or Cassava on a regular basis have a much lower chance of coming down with diabetes. This happens because of the resistant starch contained in this wonderful root. I Love Yuca!

6 - Eat Beans Daily - Beans contain lots of resistant starch and it's super important to eat at least 12 oz of beans daily. Most people don't eat enough beans and this lowers our total amount of resistant starch down... and thus we don't have enough good bacteria in our gut. Beans are one of the most important foods on the planet and they are called "The Longevity Food" and cultures who eat lots of beans live to be over 100 years old. So eat lots of wonderful beans... they are inexpensive and amazingly healthy. I Love My Beans and I Eat Them Daily!

Resistant Starch can't be digested and thus it ferments in our colon. And that fermentation process feeds our good bacteria and it also helps our body absorb calcium which helps to prevent osteoporosis.

So there you have it... 6 simple and natural ways to keep your GI and body happy!

Many Blessings to Everyone!
