I am currently a special education case manager at Rogers Park Middle School in Danbury, Connecticut. I have worked with students of all ages in a variety of settings for the past fiteen years. My career includes a tenure at a private school where I worked with over seventy-five middle school and high school-aged students on a weekly basis, running an inclusion-based elementary program for students with autism, as well as co-teaching core academic classes as part of a team comprised of fellow middle school educators. In addition to teaching full-time, I am an author of a vocational program called I Can Work! Utilizing this program, I am fortunate to consult with a variety of classrooms and programs, helping to build soft skills and vocational foundations for all individuals.
The I Can Work! program is a five-module course designed to integrate communication skills with hands-on prevocational training in the areas of job readiness, clerical, retail, food service, and the grocery industry.
