Paul Hughes

Thanks for taking the time to read my profile. If you're here, looking for the solution to a problem, then I'm both sorry and glad. I'm sorry that you have to be here and glad that you've now begun to look for a solution. There are so many people out there who believe that they have to 'put up with it', 'man-up' or simply 'learn to live with it'. That's just not the case. There is a solution and I'll be glad to help you to find it.

I'm a hypno-psychotherapist (a UKCP registered psychotherapist who specialises in the use of hypnotherapy) and have clinics in Reading, Oxford, London, Wallingford and Thame UK.

I'm a full time therapist with a busy practice. I see clients for the whole range of issues but particularly specialise in helping people on the high functioning end of the autistic spectrum. I work with 'aspies' from 9 to 60 years of age, helping them to build confidence, resilience and self-esteem. If you're suffering from anxiety attacks, panic disorder, issues with self-esteem, anger management or comorbidities then I'll be plesed to help.

Outside of this specialism i work with depression, anxiety, OCD, trichotilomania, addictions, phobias, tinnitus, chronic pain and so much more. If your problem has an emotional component. If your issues are caused by, or produce, stress, anxiety, depression or discomfort then hypnotherapy could help you.

I work to the needs of the client. Sometimes clients will need to develop insight as to how they have reached the place in which they find themselves. Sometimes clients wish to review and change their approach to events in the past. Hypnotherapy can help them to achieve these goals in order that they can then set themselves free.

At other times a client will wish to focus on achieving goals and there'll be no need at all to delve into the events of yesteryear. Should this be possible then we'll take a more solution-focused approach, identifying your skills and strengths and harnessing them in order that you can build towards positive achievements and personal growth.

If you come to see me then we'll develop a combination of therapies to suit you and your needs. Hypnotherapy is a respectful, gentle and effective means of dealing with emotional issues which have become ingrained in the unconscious mind. I could help you to access these regions of your mind in order that you can learn to let go of whatever it is which bothers you.

I'm UKCP registered, which means that my course took four years to complete and was rigorous in its demands. Your well-being is my concern and I will never take a short-cut, either in my training or in our work together. You can be sure, therefore, that I offer the best possible service. I achieved a distinction in my training, two national awards and was later asked to train for the organisation which had trained me, such was their faith in my abilities.

I'm regularly supervised, to protect your best interests, and regularly undertake my own therapy in order to ensure that I'm in the best possible condition to work with you.

I'm also a trainer, offering CPD courses to those who wish to extend their skills further. If you're a UK based hypnotherapy professional and if you'd like to read more of the courses I offer then please feel free to visit

If you'd like to hear more of how I could help you then please feel free to get in touch. I'll be glad to hear from you and more than willing to talk things through in order that you can decide that I'm the best fit for you.

Best wishes in the meantime.
